Conventional and Digital Fixed Prosthodontics

This fixed prosthodontics hybrid training program is perfectly suited for the early and mid-career general dentist, focusing on the management of indirect restorations for the single tooth and the short-span fixed prosthesis. Over the course of two webinars and a full day hands-on session, participants will gain experience on diagnosis, treatment planning, tooth preparations, provisionalization, impression taking (both conventional and digital) and cementation, in the provision of single crowns, inlays, onlays and short span bridges. The strengths and limitations of a variety of dental prosthodontic materials will be discussed and handled in our state-of-the-art SIM LAB.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
  • Compare and contrast the strengths and limitations of existing analog and digital workflows in fixed prosthodontics.
  • Update on the latest advances in digital workflows.
  • Discussion on best practices for management and maintenance of oral health.
  • Avoiding complications and meeting patient expectations.
  • Hands-on exercises: preparation, provisionalization, impression taking (digital and analog) and cementation of single indirect restorations (single crown, inlay onlay) and the short-span fixed prosthesis.

Cancellation policy
Genesis Continuing Dental Education reserves the right to cancel any course at any time. In such cases, a full refund will be issued to each participant. Reimbursement will not be provided for any other expenses associated with registration.  Costs incurred for travel and hotel accommodations remain the responsibility of each participant. Participants who cancel more than 60 days prior to the course start date will receive a full refund. Participants who cancel less than 60 days but more than 30 days prior to the course start date are entitled to a refund minus an administrative fee of $100 for courses with tuition of more than $1000 or $50 for courses with tuition less than $1000. Participants who cancel less than 30 days prior to the course start date are not entitled to a refund. All course cancellation requests must be sent in writing to courses@genesiseducation.ca.
